METHOD FOR DRILLING, BORING, RIMMING AND/OR TREAD MAKING OF DEEP HOLES THROUGH ANY GIVEN MATERIAL IN A MANUFACTURING OR MACHINING ENVIRONMENT, WHERE HIGH PRECISION AND CONTROL IS DESIRED OR REQUIRED
DESCRIPTION: A method in which utmost accuracy in the angle, direction and diameter of a
specific boring can be achieved. The invention relates to the need
of manufacturers or machinists to drill and gun drill long or deep
holes through diverse materials, avoiding the problems that are linked to
this operation like (vibration, lack of accuracy in drilling
direction,breakage of drill bits, unavailability of lengthy drill bits,
etc...)
Traditional drilling or gun drilling methods are very limited in
the length or depth that can be archived without loosing precision
in direction, (every inch added to the length of the boring increases
the inaccuracy of this method by at least 0.005-0.001 inches),
boring diameter or quality of boring or without the bit starting to shake
and rattle. Traditional drilling methods can only reach a short
distance, making it not only difficult and imprecise to continue, but
creating added stress on the machinery being used, increasing the risk
of breakage and of possible injury to operators.
In traditional gun
drilling, drilling and rimming, the acting part of the drill bit is the tip,
the fact that it works by being pushed into the material being drilled
implies that the body of such drill bit will be constantly and inevitably
rimming the path of the bit, hence altering its diameter, losing
accuracy.
*By this Invention, the machinist or manufacturer can
confidently drill through almost _any material_ used in the industry, with
almost_unlimited precision in direction and equal precision in diameter
and smoothness._ Using this same innovative method, the user can rim,
tread or bore _any length_ of the mentioned penetration.*

DESCRIPTION: A. Linear Bearing Concept: Precision ground cylindrical guide rail fixed to installation footing or suspended in a machine frame as required. Tangential roller pillow block internal bore diameter is precision ground to match for precise contact and/or preload. To interface tangential roller to guide rail fit. Rollers contacting guide rail at center arc, while two outer arcs contracting pillow blocks precision bore simultaneously. This arc to guide rail radius roller contact, aligning and maintaining squareness to linear axis and tangential to guide rail diameter at multiple location providing increased overall load support. B. Radial Bearing Concept: Precision ground inner race unit with concentric center bore. Roller cage separating and spacing rollers while contracting inner and outer race base and cap simultaneously with required clearance or preload.
