Shotgun Barrel Development

From design to life!
We are really proud to announce that after 10 months of research and development a difficult, challenging project has been completed. In August of 2002 Alpha Machining was awarded to develop the manufacturing process of an already existing design solid toolsteel, monoblock double barrel shotgun. Our shop holds a patent pending on the critical gun drilling process. Industry standard is on average of +/-0.008 degrees accuracy between the start point and target point on a single hole symmetric line. We were able to achieve a +/-0.002 degrees on double holes, on a 30 inch toolsteel bar. With further research Alpha Machining is able to develop an accuracy of +/-0.001 (or less) degree on the same process if required. On the same project, a seperate patent pending includes an outter cutting process on the surface geometry, where the barrel remains straight, at the end of process it will not bend.

Please note: The design of the solid toolsteel, monoblock double barrel shotgun does not belong to Alpha Machining, only the manufacturing process does.
